The Creation Story

Hogarth opened for business in 2008 in an attic room above a shop near London’s Carnaby Street. Our Internet connection came from a cable slung out of a window, and the floor sloped so much that all the chairs ran toward one corner. Eventually, we had fourteen people working in that room. This made it so full that we had to use the Brazilian coffee shop opposite us for our meetings. In memory of these roots, the founders of the company are still known as the “Attic Fourteen”.

Pencils of Promise: ‘Arte no Tomie’ by Hogarth Brazil

Kicking off a year of fundraising for Pencils of Promise, Hogarth Brazil has held their first major event, ‘Arte no Tomie’; laying on an art auction, raffle and charity gala at the prestigious Tomie Ohtake Cultural Institute.

Partnering with Brazillian organisation Hubb-Arte em Projeto and local E! Entertainment Network celebrity Giselle Hermetto, the event proved to be a great success. Over 200 guests attended, and fundraising goals for Pencils of Promise were surpassed to the extent that Hogarth Brazil were able to donate to two additional charities; CrêSer and Gastromotiva. Hogarth is delighted to support charitable work both globally and in the areas around our local hubs, understanding the need for responsibility in both local and international communities.
